Flute

If you play the flute, then you will need:

1. A flute (open hole preferred)
2. Plugs (for open holes)
3. Tuning rod
4. Men’s Handkerchief
5. Soft polishing cloth

6th-8th Graders will also need:

1. Black 1” 3-ring binder
2. 10 (or more!) plastic sheet protectors
3. 5 tab dividers
4. Pencil Bag/Pencils
5. Notebook Paper

Books:

1. Essential Elements Book 1 (5th - 6th Grade) for flute
2. Essential Elements Book 2 (6th - 8th Grade) for flute

Recommended brands/models of flutes:

• Yamaha 261 or higher (not "Allegro" models)
• Pearl 500 or higher (not "Quantz" models)
• Amadeus 500 or higher
• DiZhao 201 or higher

Please contact the band director before purchasing a flute brand that is not on this list.
